Created by Kore Yamazaki in 2013, The Ancient Magus’ Bride is an enchanting dark fantasy manga story that has received immense praise from both critics and the general public, despite also raising some concerns about the imbalanced power dynamic between its two lead characters. In March 2017 came the announcement that The Ancient Magus’ Bride would be adapted into an anime series, and its first season ran for 24 episodes, released between October of that same year and March 2018.

Very soon, the anime will be coming to the small screen once more, with season two scheduled for a Spring release. Unlike season one, which was animated by Wit Studio, season two is in the hands of Studio Kafka, with Kazuaki Terasawa directing.

How to watch The Ancient Magus’ Bride season 2

During Anime NYC, Crunchyroll took the opportunity to announce that the second season of The Ancient Magus’ Bride will be streamed on the platform. As usual, Crunchyroll’s reach includes North, Central, and South America, as well as Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Along with English subtitles, Crunchyroll also confirmed that the new episodes will receive an English dub, but at the time of writing, there’s no information about when it will hit the platform. It’s common practice for dubbed versions of episodes to be released later than the subtitled version, so fans should be prepared to wait a while for it.

While waiting on the continuation of Chise and Elias’ story, fans can rewatch season one of The Ancient Magus’ Bride, which is currently also available for streaming on Crunchyroll, along with its six OADs.
